Happy animals means happy meat! These whole chickens pastured at the Epiphany Farms Estate near Downs, IL are a staple offering at Epiphany Farms Restaurant, and various cuts are featured in selected dishes at our other restaurants.

The chickens we raise at our farm play an active role in building healthy soil and controlling pest populations by simply living the healthiest, happiest lives we can provide for them. Their movement across the land via intensive grazing rotation consistently brings them new foods & encounters. They receive a ton of nutrition from a basic non-GMO feed, a lot of foraged foods from the pasture and misc. leftover vegetable goodness from the gardens.

In turn, these chickens are chock full of nutrition & flavor built from a healthy lifestyle lived upon & fed by Central IL’s Moraine soil.
